The carbohydrates that you eat should come from foods like whole grain breads and pasta, brown rice, oatmeal, fruit, etc. Your carbs should not come from cookies and ice cream. Rather than eating two or three large meals per day it is better to eat smaller portions and to eat them more often. Eating smaller portions and increasing the frequency of your meals will help keep your blood sugar levels more stable which will help you avoid feeling hungry and increase your metabolism.

The other main ingredient in a healthy weight loss plan is exercise. Exercise burns calories but also helps to increase your metabolism. Anything you can do to move your body will be beneficial but if you could incorporate some resistance training that would be best for rapid fat burning. Resistance training will build lean muscle mass which will help you burn more calories 24 hours per day, even while you are asleep.

It’s a good idea to talk to your doctor or other healthcare professional before starting any diet or exercise program. Eating the right kinds of foods, staying away from the wrong kinds of foods, and getting plenty of exercise is the fastest way to achieve your weight loss goals. It also happens to be the healthiest way to lose weight and it is more likely to result in long term success.
